From this lovely well-located farm complex in a peaceful hamlet you are invited to savor the architectural and gastronomical delights of a magical land brimming with history. Quercy Perigord is the old name for this region, now known as the Dordogne and the Lot. This land is renowned for foie gras, truffles (the "black diamonds of the Perigord") and wild mushrooms, chestnuts, walnuts, the wines of Bergerac, Cahors and Monbazillac, stunning landscape, bastides and picturesque villages.

Maison de Camille is within easy distance of the famous prehistoric cave paintings of Lascaux; Madeleine and Le Roc St Christophe; the village and pilgrimage site of Rocamadour that literally clings to a cliff; Sarlat with its preserved medieval and Renaissance quarter; Martel; the bastide of Domme with its splendid views up the Dordogne River Valley to LaRoque Gageac (the "official" most beautiful village in France); Chateau Castelnaud, Chateau Marqueyssac and Beynac with yet another imposing medieval fortress castle, once inhabited by King Richard the Lionheart; Chateau Milandes - former home of Josephine Baker; plentiful canoeing and kayaking; balloon rides; horseback riding; incomparable walking and cycling. For golf enthusiasts, there is a country club in Souillac, and 2 other golf courses (one has a view of 3 castles from one of its tees and the other is located near Chateau Montfort), are within about 25 minutes.
The farmhouse is available by the week, primarily in late spring and summer, and is suitable for up to 5 persons in 3 bedrooms. The other buildings (a barn, a sheepfold, a former pigsty and even an ancient breadoven) are not occupied (other than the tobacco hangar used by a neighbor for hay and equipment), lending privacy and added ambience.
